Mike Fager is Vice President of Investments and Retirement Specialist with Raymond James and Associates Inc. in Rockford, IL. He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1995. Mike has helped small business owners address the concept of succession planning ever since he started in the financial services industry in 1979. Over the years, he has toured the country and frequently given talks on business-related issues. He is also the designer of a seminar series known as Lynx for Business, a program intended to help create networking opportunities for businesses and professionals.

Mike currently focuses on consulting with family business owners and their families on effective transition strategies. It is his firm belief that the key to a successful transition of a family business starts and ends with good family communication.

That last concept is one that he has carried over to his home life. He is the proud father of Justin, Kyle, and Kole and lives in Rockford with his wife, Renee.

Dave McKinney is Vice President and Wealth Management Specialist of the Rockford, IL branch of Raymond James & Associates, Inc. He has over 20 years of experience in business and finance, with an extensive background in succession planning. As a Regional Manager for Business Evaluations Systems, he has earned the designations of Senior Business Analyst (SBA) and Certified Machine and Equipment Appraiser (MEA). He is also the President and owner of KLM & Associates, a business brokerage and consulting firm that has coordinated mergers of both publicly and privately owned companies.

Dave first became interested in succession planning when he elected to sell his ownership of DynamicFAX, Inc. (currently called Cleo Software), a privately held communications company. Dave currently dedicates most of his time to consulting to high net worth business owners. He manages their investments as well as offering them comprehensive financial consulting for the life and future of their businesses.

Dave lives in Rockford with his wife Angie and their three children, Kelli, Lindsey, and Michael. He enjoys the outdoors – and even finds time to sneak away to the golf course occasionally.
